One staff member tested positive at All Nations Cannabis on July 21, they have reopened after full sanitation cleaning

COVID case at pot shop

All Nations Cannabis in Lake Country closed down briefly after one of the staff tested positive on July 21.

“So we called 811, the coronavirus general inquiries, called Interior Health and let them know exactly what was happening,” the retail manager said.

The store was closed for over 24 hours to get a full detail cleaning done by a professional group of cleaners.

Employees who were working or in contact during this time are not coming into work.

“We were told that we were allowed to open as long as we have gloves, face masks, all the necessary PPE for customers.”

The company says has brought in employees from their other locations who were not around the positive case to staff the location.

The store, which operates on First Nations reserve land, is not licensed by the BC Government and does not sell cannabis certified by Health Canada.

Interior Health did not immediately respond to Castanet's request for comment.
