Waterslide in Vernon has opened for the summer

Keep cool at Splashdown

The sun is shining, the temperature is rising and it's time to hit the waterslides.

Splashdown Vernon, formerly Atlantis Waterslides, officially opened for the summer on Saturday.

Joey Sallos, park manager, said COVID-19 social distancing mandates and stringent cleansing protocols are in place.

“We are really happy we were able to get open,” said Sallos. “We will be open for two, four-hour windows. One is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and the other is from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. During that time we have an intermission where we sanitize the entire park where we get it all safe and sanitized for the next group of people.”

The popular waterslides, 7921 Greenhow Rd., will be open through the summer, rain or shine.

Tickets are available at the door.
