Veronica Ukrainetz named one of Vernon's Top 20 Over 40

The Greater Vernon Chamber of Commerce has released its Top 20 Over 40 list for 2020, and Castanet will be featuring all of the honourees.

When it comes to offering support for local small businesses, the Ukrainetz Workplace Law Group knows how to help. Veronica Ukrainetz, the owner, believes her business offers a valuable insight to small business owners, because she is one herself.

"Since we are a small firm, our clients understand that we go through the same situations they do, and we can provide perspective that a big Vancouver law firm might not have," says Ukrainetz. "We understand that the CEO of the organization may be seeing their employees at hockey games, or the CFO might see their employees at daycare. They understand that our lives are intertwined, and we can appreciate those sensitivities."

Her firm has also offered charitable support through pro bono services and donations to organizations like the Archway Society for Domestic Peace, Upper Room Mission, Boys & Girls Club Vernon and numerous First Nations organizations, just to name a few.

"I also worked as a member of the campaign committee for the Nona Child Development Centre to raise funds for the Build the Clubhouse campaign," Ukrainetz says. "That campaign was used to support a second child development centre building."
