The film industry in the North Okanagan recieved a nice boost from the rural districts this week.
The Regional District of North Okanagan's five electoral areas agreed to give $2,000 to the Okanagan Film Commission to fund local film projects. The funds will be provided through the rural economic development service.
Vernon, Coldstream and Armstrong already give funding through a film commission service, and Enderby provides funding through a separate film commission.
The five areas that will now be donating are BX-Silver Star, Cherryville, Swan Lake-Commonage, rural Lumby and rural Enderby.
