With the Family Day weekend right around the corner, hitting the slopes will be on the agenda for many.
Silver Star Mountain Resort is offering half price lift tickets on Family Day, Monday, to encourage parents to get the whole brood out on the mountain.
"This is a great opportunity for families to come together and spend the day exploring Silver Star and everything our mountain has to offer," says the resort's Chantelle Deacon "We always want to provide families with an amazing experience ... and Family Day is a chance for us to exactly that."
The resort is expecting a busy weekend.
"Family Day weekend is always a busy time ... make sure to leave yourself time to find parking this weekend, especially on the holiday Monday," Deacon advises.
As such, starting Saturday the resort's parking lot C will be designated HOV 2+ parking only on weekends and holidays until 10:30 a.m. Only vehicles with two or more occupants will be permitted.
Also this weekend on the mountain: Send it, Land it, Nailed it - Slopestyle on Saturday, the Smith Optics Rail Jam Series, also Saturday, and live music in village pubs and restaurants Friday through Sunday.
