Tina Turner impersonator performs at Vernon Winter Carnival

'A dancer for the money'

The lucky ticket holders for the Jopo Luncheon on day six of the Vernon Winter Carnival were treated to an energetic and quality performance from Luisa Marshall, a world-renowned Tina Turner impersonator. She has won international performance competitions, and she has even been featured in spots on Ellen and Oprah.

"We do a lot of research trying to find great entertainers," says Deb White, the Winter Carnival Chair. "We contacted her and luckily she was available to perform."

The carnival organizers have a knack for finding talent to bring to Vernon, and have had some great shows in the past.

"We've had a magic act, the Shawn Lightfoot Band and Lee Dinwoodie in the past," says White. "We always try to outdo what we did the year before."

The luncheon was sold out for day one, but Luisa Marshall will be performing tomorrow too. Tomorrow's event still has a few tickets available, and you can reserve your spot here.
