Vernon Community Art Centre holding 14th annual art sale

You won't find any of these items in a big box store.

The annual Artsolutely event at the Vernon Community Art Centre has two rooms full of some very unique Christmas gift ideas.

On until the afternoon of Dec. 24, Artsolutely features the work of numerous local artists.

Patricia Doyle, with the art centre, said the event is the biggest fundraiser of the year for the centre.

“We have 28 local artists and artisans showing their wares,” said Doyle, noting the art work covers a wide range on the artistic spectrum. “We have fine artists this year. Twenty per cent of the proceeds go towards Joining Hands which we have here at the art centre where people will different abilities to come in an make art two days a week for free.”

Proceeds also go towards a variety of other programs.

Artsolutely is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sundays.
