Bryan Jeffrey McLachlan was sentenced to a year in jail on child pornography charges.
A former Vernon-area Judo coach has been sentenced for possessing child pornography.
Bryan Jeffrey McLachlan entered a guilty plea to child pornography charges earlier this year and was sentenced Thursday in a Vernon court room.
Dan McLaughlin, Communications Counsel with the BC Prosecution Service, said the disgraced coach was sentenced to eight months for one count of possession of child pornography and and 12 months for importing and distributing child porn.
The sentences will be served concurrently.
“His custodial sentence will be followed by two years on probation,” said McLaughlin.
The 49-year-former coach pleaded guilty to one count of possession of child pornography and another of importing and distributing child porn.
