A water main break in Vernon has shut off water to a number of homes in the Mission Hill area Tuesday afternoon.

The break occurred on the 4100 block of Okanagan Avenue.

Crews are currently on scene working to restore service.

It's unclear how many homes are affected, but the city says “every effort is being made to have water available as soon as possible.”
