Vernon Community Future workshops benefit small business

Next week is Small Business Week.

Small Business Week runs from Oct. 21-24 and a number of workshops are planned to benefit local business owners.

The workshops will be at Community Futures.

"This year's workshops include hiring and retention strategies, succession planning, digital marketing strategies and much more," stated a release.

• Oct. 21 - Export Navigator 9 a.m. until noon
• Oct. 22 - Hiring the right people 9 to 11 a.m.
• Oct. 22 - Workplace assistive technology 11 a.m. until noon
• Oct. 22 - Keeping your staff safe 1 to 2:30 p.m.
• Oct. 22 Employers training grant 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.
• Oct. 23 - Cannabis business 101 9 a.m. until noon
• Oct. 23 - Retiring or selling your business 1 to 3 p.m.
• Oct. 24 - Creating marketing videos 9 a.m. until noon
• Oct. 24 - Marketing for busy entrepreneurs - 1 to 4 p.m.

Lunch is provided to attendees on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
