The city of Vernon's tree voucher program is back this spring and they want to see your work in photos.
To participate, residents are asked to pick up a tree voucher at the front desk of the Community Services Building at 3001 – 32 Avenue between 8:30 am and 4 p.m. Monday to Friday (except holidays) until Oct. 15, 2019. You need to bring identification of residency as the offer is limited to one voucher per Vernon household.
The voucher is good for $20 towards a tree purchase at Swan Lake Nursery to be planted on a residential lot within the city.
You can also nab a guide to help select an appropriate tree and guidelines to support planting the tree successfully.
The city wants you to take a photo of the tree in its new location and upload it to the city website at https://www.vernon.ca/trees.
