Easter events galore

There will be plenty of things to do this Easter long weekend, from religious services to Easter Egg hunts.

Good Friday services will be held at the Vernon and District Performing Arts Centre at 9:30 and 11:15 a.m. Admission is free.

The Allan Brooks Nature Centre will officially open for the year with an Easter Egg hunt on Saturday, April 20 starting at 10 a.m.

The Mackie House will host the Coldstream Community Easter Egg hunt Saturday from 10 a.m. until noon.

And for the first time, Historic O'Keefe Ranch will be hosting an Easter Egg hunt.

Tim Gibson, with the ranch, said from noon to 4 p.m. there will be pony rides, kid's crafts and mansion tours.

“At 1:30 we are going to have an Easter Egg hunt and you can let the kids run wild,” said Gibson, adding the ranch officially opens for the season on Mother's Day.
