The 'peanut pool' may be getting a significant make over.
Officially called the Lakeview Wading Pool, the small pool on East Hill has been a favourite for young children for decades.
At their regular Monday meeting, City Council agreed to apply to the Canada Infrastructure Program for $1,472,100, or 73 per cent of the total cost to upgrade the facility.
Council approved the funding up to $535,400 in 2020 for the remainder of the project should the application be successful.
