Monster fun for kids

There will be some monster fun for kids at the Vernon and District Performing Arts Centre on Feb. 16.

We Now Know: The Complete History of Science takes a comedic look at how moldy bread gave us penicillin, Archimedes took a bath, Newton had a penchant for apples, and more.

The Monster Theatre production follows a "rockstar scientist" who is about to prove we are at the climax of all scientific knowledge, and her clumsy and extremely accident-prone assistant.

The next amazing scientific discovery could be just around the corner.

The one-hour, rapid-fire comedy for young audiences, created in partnership with Science World British Columbia, chronicles the complete history of science by exploring the constant evolution of what “we now know."

Using comedy, puppets, masks, physical theatre, projections, original songs and audience participation, the show explores the discoveries, inventions and innovations of humankind since the dawn of time.

Showtime is 2 p.m. Tickets are $12 for all ages at the Ticket Seller Box Office, 250-549-SHOW or www.ticketseller.ca.
