RCMP have arrested two people in connection to a 2017 homicide at an apartment building in Vernon.
On July 19, a man was found unresponsive in an apartment unit in the 2900 block of 43rd, Ave.
Police called the death a homicide.
After a 15-month investigation, police today announced they arrested a 40-year-old woman and a 45-year-old male, both from Vernon.
"Both accused were held in police custody over the weekend by a Justice, and will appear in court later today to face charges of Second Degree Murder," stated Const. Kelly Brett.
Police are not providing any further information, however, according to court documents a Richard William Fairgrieve and Jacqueline Nicole Leavins were in Vernon Law Courts today on the charge of murder.
