Another candidate has entered the race for Vernon City Council.
Kevin Lepp announced his intentions to run for a council position in a press release to media Thursday morning.
Lepp has been employed by School District 22 for more than 26 years and has experience as a small business owner and entrepreneur.
"I love this city," Lepp wrote. "I was raised here and believe it is a great place for young families to establish themselves. We are privileged to have both summer and winter recreational activities which are the envy of so many places across our nation. Vernon is one of the ‘jewels’ of the Okanagan. Good management of our infrastructure now will be essential for future and sustainable growth without taking away from our family-focused community.”
Lepp is one of 14 candidates officially registered to run in the October municipal election for Vernon City Council.
