Foul ball catch

We all have one of those friends who constantly films everything on their cell phone.

To his friends, that is Erik Locke of Vernon.

Locke was recording at a recent Toronto Blue Jays game when a line drive came screaming towards him and his family.

Locke ended up catching his brother in one of those once-in-a-lifetime moments.

"It was in the ninth inning, I was trying to get like a walk-off or something like that at the end of the game, and a foul ball came straight back and cleared the net and I was sitting right next to my brother. It was a liner and he just caught it."

Locke says the section went nuts after his brother caught the ball.

"As soon as he caught it, the stadium just started cheering and people were high-fiving him. It was pretty crazy actually, just because of the way he caught it. He was sitting down and he put his arm up beside his face and he caught it barehanded."

Locke was trying to capture a walk-off hit when his brother captured the foul ball – something that happened two innings later when Kevin Pillar homered to end the game for the Blue Jays win.

And yes, Locke was filming that moment on his cell phone as well.
