John Keely
A popular Vernon high school teacher will be honoured Saturday during a celebration of life.
John Keely, 58, a loved and well-known local teacher, failed to return home after a kayaking trip.
He was reported missing on July 19 from Mabel Lake near Lumby
The public is invited to attend a celebration of life at the Vernon Alliance Church, Saturday Aug. 25 at 10:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in John’s Memory to the Vernon Search and Rescue at www.vernonsar.ca.
Keeley taught in School District 22 for 28 years, teaching math and calculus along with coaching numerous basketball teams.
