The BC Wildfire Service has posted information on a new wildfire in the North Okanagan east of Back Enderby Road. 

At .01 of a hectare, the cause is still unknown. 

Early today, the BC Wildfire Service posted information on a possible human-caused fire near Becker Lake. 

As summer temperatures continue to climb, so too does the risk of wildfires. 

Since April 1, 133 wildfires have burned more than 4,300 hectares of forrest in the Kamloops Fire Centre.

Several communities throughout the Shuswap and Okanagan are listed at either high or extreme danger rating, including Salmon Arm, Fintry and West Kelowna.
