Small fire by Becker Lake

The BC Wildfire Service is reporting a small human-caused fire was sparked near Becker Lake outside Vernon. 

The fire was first reported Sunday and was estimated to be .10 hectares in size. 

On its website, the BC Wildfire Service has listed the fire as out. 

The province issued a fire ban in late June that will remain in effect until October. The ban covers all fire larger than a campfire. 

Daytime temperatures in the North Okanagan for the start of the week are expected to be in the 30s.

While a heat advisory has not been issued for the North Okanagan, one has been issued for the South Thompson and the Central and South Okanagan.
