ORIGINAL: July, 11, 9:40 a.m.

The production company behind a film starring Nicolas Cage currently being shot in the Okanagan will be closing down one of Vernon's major roads on Thursday.

Settle Productions will be filming on 27th Street from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The action scenes for the movie A Score to Settle will require the temporary closure of the route between 32nd Avenue and 35th Avenue.

Detour routes will be posted and marked, and all truck traffic is being asked to use 32nd Street, says assistant location manager Bob Bricker.

All businesses will remain open during the closure.

Bricker thanked the city and residents of Vernon for their patience during the filming.

Anyone with specific concerns related to the closure and filming is asked to email Bricker at [email protected].
