Vernon woman mourned

Kristina Meier is being remembered by her friends and family as the most vibrant, thoughtful and fun-loving person.

Meier was killed in a car accident June 10 just outside 70 Mile House on Highway 97. She was on her way back to Vernon from Prince George.

"She (Kristina) has impacted many of us not only with her smile but with her extreme kindness. Kristina was always up for anything fun, had a passion for making people (feel) good about themselves and lit up every room she entered."

A GoFundMe page has been set up to help her family with the funeral costs.

"We tragically lost Kristina in an unexpected accident," was stated on the GoFundMe page. "This has left an enormous hole in all of our hearts. It is a perfect time to rally behind Kristina's husband, Tyler, and her family to help out financially to cover the funeral expenses that they are currently facing."

Meier was the owner of KM Esthetics & Studio in downtown Vernon.

The business community near where her shop was set up, 3403 30th Ave, will be raising funds for the family as awell.

Grillers Meats and the Fig Bistro will be selling burgers during the Sunshine Saturday, June 16 with the proceeds going to the family.
