Market in full swing

Spring is in full swing and that means so is the Vernon Farmer's Market.

The market is held every Thursday and Monday in the Kal Tire Place parking lot starting at 8 a.m. and manager Ingrid Baron said there is plenty of stuff to check out.

“There is so much great stuff down here, a lot of plants – tomato plants and other veggie plants. I even saw some strawberry plants,” said Baron. “This is just the beginning, we hardly have any of the veggies here yet, but they are starting to come. And of course we are going to start with fruit here pretty quick.”

Baron said there are no big box stores allowed at the market.

“We are a make it, bake it, grow it market,” said Baron.
