The beauty of Bollywood

Tickets to Vernon's Bollywood Bash sold out within minutes and it's almost time for the lucky ticket holders to pick out their outfits.

Outfits for the event on April 28 will go on sale this Saturday and Sunday at the Lakers Clubhouse.

"We're going to have out annual outfit sale this weekend," said Dalvir Nahal, Bollywood Bang organizer. "We have collected probably 400 outfits and we're super excited to sell them."

Everything from sari's, dresses, skirts to pantsuits will be available for purchase.

"Beautiful fabrics, lots of embroidery and bright colours," she said. "That's what we want to sell, we want the room to look bright and represent what our outfits represent."

The annual party is one of Vernon's most talked about events each year.

"It's such a unique event because there is nothing like this in the Okanagan," Nahal said. "We bring together people from all different communities, all different age groups and you get to dress up and just be transformed into a magical place."

The clothing sale starts at 10 a.m. both days.
