Record snow at the Star

How much snow did SilverStar Mountain Resort get this winter?

A lot.

In fact, the North Okangan ski hill recorded its largest snowfall in 68 years with a whopping 280 cm of the white stuff.

“There is no doubt this has been a very special season,” said Oscar Gordon, resort media and marketing manager. “You can barely see the tops of light posts and street signs poking out of glacial snowbanks.”

The Okanagan ski resort has been inundated with locals and guests around Canada, hitting the slopes to take advantage of the most pow the mountain has seen since it began taking measurements in 1950.

The second greatest snowfall at SilverStar Mountain Resort was recorded in March 1974 at 274 cm.
