Not grandpa's Mr. Mikes

There's something new cooking in Vernon and it is coming from a familiar name.

The new and improved Mr. Mikes Casual officially opens this week and there is a buzz of anticipation.  

"The phone has been ringing nonstop," says general manager Brady Young. "The reception from the community has been great."

Mr. Mikes was famous for its salad bar and ice cream stations, but those have been removed. Now guests to the restaurant will find Netflix on the TVs and a games centre. 

"It's a little bit different and a little bit for everybody."

The staff has had a chance to iron out the wrinkles. Mr. Mikes hosted two dry runs last week, but it all happens for real Tuesday, March 6.
