An injured skier was airlifted from Cherryville Monday after he was buried in an avalanche.
Glenn Braithwaite with the B.C. Ambulance Service told Castanet they were involved in the rescue.
“He has been airlifted to Kelowna lnternational Airport,” said Braithwaite.
Paramedics rushed to the scene at about 2 p.m. and the man was flown to Kelowna with the assistance of Kingfisher Heliskiing.
The extent of injuries and the age of the man are unknown.
Castanet will update once more information becomes available.
