Hot air balloons will fly today in the North Okanagan.
The hot air balloons have become one of the main focal points for Vernon Winter Carnival.
Poor weather conditions grounded the balloons the past few days, but mother nature has opened a window on Saturday.
According to the North Okanagan Hot Air Balloon Society, the balloons will take off from the parking lot across from Home Depot in the to the northern end of Vernon this morning.
Friday night hundreds of people came out to Polson Park for the balloon light up, one of Vernon Winter Carnival's signature events.
