Tributes after tragic loss

Beautiful and heartfelt tributes continue to be shared on social media for Rebecca Kimmel. 

The 18-year-old died in a car crash Monday night on Highway 6. 

Poor road conditions at the time played a factor the fatal crash that claimed Rebecca's life and injured her younger sister. 

A family friend posted on Facebook, "Rebecca was a quiet, intelligent and caring young lady. Her family was so important to her, as was her faith."

Another posted support for the family. "This is a large wonderful family that is devastated by their sudden loss."

A gofundme page has been set up to help the family of nine during this difficult time. More than $12,300 has been raised so far.

One person posted, "Broken hearts and tears flow here, but Heaven has a new angel." 

While others posted similar messages of sympathy for the family.

"God bless you and your family. We will keep in our prayers."

"Hold your memories of her close in your heart and let those memories give you the strength you need to be emotionally present for your other children. Take solace in knowing that she is an angel in heaven walking beside you through your sorrow."

"So shocked and sorry to read of this tragedy. Condolences to you Alex and to your family at this sad time."

RCMP stated in a press release regarding the accident, that Rebecca was the only one to lose her life in the two-vehicle crash. Her sister suffered only minor injuries, as did the driver of the other vehicle.
