Armed robber targets Shell

An armed robber targeted a Vernon gas station in Okanagan Landing Tuesday night and RCMP continue to search for the suspect. No one was injured.

On Nov. 28th at 8:30 p.m., Vernon RCMP responded to a report of an armed robbery that had occurred at the Shell gas station on Okanagan Landing Road.

“Police have learned that the suspect entered the store and demanded money from the employee,” said Const. Kelly Brett, RCMP spokesperson. “The suspect produced what is believed to be a firearm during the robbery, and then fled on foot.   Efforts to locate the suspect have been unsuccessful at this time.”

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, between 30 to 40 years of age, who was wearing all black clothing with a black mask concealing his face. 

Brett said the employee was not physically injured during the incident.
