112 impaired drivers were taken off the road in the Vernon/North Okanagan between July and Sept.

More than 100 impaired drivers were taken off the road in the North Okanagan between July and the end of the September.

RCMP statistics show 88 drivers in Vernon and Coldstream who were tested for alcohol or drug consumption were given a suspension or charge during that time.

Sixteen other people were ticketed and fined for distracted driving.

Elsewhere in the North Okanagan, 24 impaired drivers were stopped and penalized as were three distracted drivers.
