The summer is not going the way Kelsey Basnett had planned.
The Vernon native who now lives in Calgary had plans of spending time on local lakes with her family, but sometime between Thursday evening and Friday morning, someone dashed those plans when they stole the family boat.
The 2017 Supra SA450 was parked in front of her parent's home in the 10000 block of Begbie Drive.
Basnett said neighbours recall seeing the boat at around 10 p.m. Thursday, but Basnett noticed it was gone at 7 a.m.
The boat is metallic blue on white and was on a black trailer with black custom rims, license number V74767.
“It had locks on the tires and a lock on the front hitch,” said Basnett. “It's a very sad day. We've only been on it three times.”
Anyone with information on the boat is urged to call the RCMP.
