A small spot fire started above Kalamalka Lake Saturday afternoon, in Lake Country.
The fire was spotted in the forest near Oyama Lake Road.
Residents with a view of the area report a helicopter and water bombers quickly jumped on the fire, just after 3 p.m.
A small wisp of smoke could be seen an hour later, and it is believed the fire is now all but out.
