Vernon's Canadian Tire is closing the doors to its current location on Saturday at 6 p.m., says Bill Drake, a local manager.
A larger store will be opening next week, just north of the 27th Street location, in the Village Green Centre.
Drake says “if things go well” plans are to open the new store on Thursday morning at 8 a.m.
The new store will be a whopping 69,000 square feet, making it the largest in the region.
Close to 100 people worked at the current store, but Drake could not give a figure for the new location.
