Vernon Fire Rescue was called to a shed fire Sunday on the 4200 block of 27th Avenue that spread to nearby vehicles and sent a pillar of black smoke into the air.
Deputy fire chief Jack Blair said the fire in the plastic garden shed spread to a newer Ford Mustang and a camper that were parked near the shed. Blair said there was also a motorcycle inside the shed.
“There was extensive fire damage to them. Fortunately, the guys were able to knock it down quite quickly. There was quite a bit of financial loss,” said Blair.
No one was hurt in the incident.
No point of origin has yet been determined, and officials are investigating.
