Car fire at restaurant

A car has been engulfed in flames at a Chinese restaurant in Vernon.

Details are limited at this time, but the fire appears to involve a single vehicle in the parking lot of Temptasian restaurant in Vernon.

Vernon Fire Dispatch confirmed that crews have been at the scene for a short time. 

Witnesses said the fire began around 8 p.m. and "didn't last too long."

Vernon Fire Department was able to contain the fire within 45 minutes although what looked like a Chrysler Intrepid is completely destroyed.

Pictures and video show smoke billowing from the parking lot, while emergency crews battle the blaze.
