Kelo Cannabis making once-daily cannabis deliveries to Big White Mountain area

Weed delivery to Big White

It’s no fun when you spend a day on the slopes at Big White Mountain and are looking forward to relaxing after shredding the champagne powder—only to realize you are all out of cannabis.

Kelo Cannabis has come up with a solution to that problem. Starting Thursday, the cannabis store will start daily delivery to the Big White area.

General manager Max Whalen is one of several Kelo Cannabis employees who like to spend their free time at Big White to enjoy everything it has to offer, and he said the idea for daily delivery was born from their own experiences.

“There’s been a recurring theme on most of these weekends spent at cabins, where someone realizes they forgot to pack cannabis products or just didn't pack enough, coming to the sad realization that there's really no way to get it,” Whalen says.

That problem has now been fixed.

Simply visit the Kelo Cannabis website, click on the special Big White menu tab, and place your order before 2 p.m. for same-day delivery. Like its Kelowna-based service, there will be no minimum order or delivery fees. Orders will then be shuttled to the Big White area for handoffs between 4 and 5 p.m. daily, just as you return to your accommodations.

“We figured most people would like to be on the hill all day long and not have to worry about being at their residence to receive an order,” Whalen says. “So with deliveries arriving between four and five o’clock, everyone gets to spend their day on the hill and have fun.

“When they go back to their cabins and want to relax or get ready for plans to follow, that's when we will arrive.”

There are also many residents in the Big White area who do not have the ability to travel to and from Kelowna, so the Kelo Cannabis delivery service will help ease that burden as well.

“We’ve heard what people have wanted, and we’re trying to deliver on that,” Whalen says.“We’re just looking forward to expanding our service, meeting some cool new people and continuing to help the legal cannabis industry grow.”
