The Peninsula Paris

June 24th, 2014 marked the preview of the newest addition to the Peninsula hotel chain to the Luxury Travel Market. The Peninsula Paris will officially open to the public on August 1st as the brand’s first hotel in Europe. It took 20 years for the right opportunity to present itself, explained the CEO Clement Wok.

Considered to be one of the most anticipated openings of the year, the 10th Peninsula resort is expected to represent the best of the French artisan’s and architect’s “labour of love” over the last six years.

This “soft opening” for the travel journalists and marketplace exhibited all the pomp and glory of an international event with exquisite pastries and French champagne on hand for all. The Head management team were introduced after returning from their extensive training at the Peninsula Academy in Hong Kong. They had absorbed the Peninsula “culture” and impeccable level of service standards and were ready to establish the same at the new Paris location. The vintage Rolls-Royce and Mini Coopers were parked ready in front of the newly restored façade and the smartly dressed page boys were standing ready in the standard Peninsula uniforms.

Located in the 16th arrondissement between the Arc de Triomphe and the Trocadero, the Peninsula stands to revitalise the neighbourhood and be the classic “jewel” that epitomises the best that Paris has to offer. Their signature restaurants are certainly expected to “wow” both locals and guest alike. The “sidewalk café “ ambiance of Kleber Terrace with it’s imposing lion statutes flanking the entrance and practical lightweight glass canopy will prove to be “the” place to sit and watch the world go by! “Lili” is the Cantonese restaurant whose interior décor reflects both French and Asian opera. And lastly, the rooftop terrace of L’Oiseau Blanc will likely be the most coveted table in town!

The Peninsula’s standards of service and their reputation for having the “most personalised hotel rooms in the world” will likely allow them to become the finest hotel in the French capital.

To be amongst the first to experience what the newest member of the Peninsula family has to offer, take advantage of their Grand Opening offers for stays Aug 1-31, 2014. Room only rates start at 695Euro/night or the “Debut” rate of 750Eur/night includes a luxurious breakfast for two!
