The Westside Warriors said goodbye to October with a bang.
Quinn Gould scored twice including the game winner as the Warriors completed a sweep of the Eagles, winning 5-3 Saturday night in Surrey.
The Warriors won the opening half of the home-and-home series 4-2 Friday at Royal LePage Place.
Gould snapped a 3-3 tie with his second of the night 11:45 into the final period to propel the Warriors to their second win in a row and third in four starts.
Kyle Singleton also scored twice with Alex Grieve adding the other.
Michael King and Tyler Brickler each added a pair of assists.
Westside held a 2-0 lead after one on power-play goals from Grieve and Quinn.
After Surrey got one back on a power-play of the own, Singletons cored his first of the night to restore the two goal lead.
Brandon Morley and Michael Stenerson pulled the Eagles on even terms before the end of the second.
The Warriors had to kill off a pair of penalties early in the third before Gould scored what proved to be the winning goal.
Kevin Boyle turned aside 21 shots in the pivotal final period and 39 on the night to earn his third straight victory.
Westside finished the night 2-4 on the power-play while holding the number one power-play in the league to just one goal in seven opportunities.
Defencemen Tom Kroshus, Izaak Berglund and forward Brett Mulcahy did not play for the Warriors Saturday.
Defenceman Matt Ridley saw his first action of the season in a Warriors uniform.
