Team BC with silver medals following the final vs Ontario
More success for British Columbia sports teams this summer.
The women’s U17 Team BC basketball team came home with silver from the U17 Nationals that took place August 1 to 6 in Sherbrooke Que. at Bishop’s University.
The team features talent from across the province and right here in the Okanagan. Including Ryenn Schutz and Sarah Litrico from Kelowna Secondary School and Caitie Gingras of Vernon Christan School.
Ryenn Schutz was named a tournament 1st Team All-Star and Caitie Gingras was named a 2nd Team All-Star.
Team BC was coached by Diane Schuetze, who is also the Assistant Coach at the University of Victoria and Diana Lee, an Assistant Coach at UBC.
