A Canadian Hockey League Goaltender is recovering in hospital after a scary on-ice incident during an Ontario Hockey League game against the London Knights.
A tweet from the Niagara IceDogs says goaltender Tucker Tynan is “stable and safe in hospital” and recovering from surgery.
Tynan was cut in the leg by a skate during a collision. It only took seconds for blood to begin covering the crease.
Trainers from both teams jumped into action to help and get Tucker to hospital.
Some players on the opposing bench couldn't look and averted their eyes. The game was suspended and both weekend games for the IceDogs in Ottawa have also been suspended.
