The Kelowna Falcons got six strong innings of pitching from Stone Churby but eventually fell 2-1 in a tight-contested pitching affair to the Corvallis Knights on Wednesday at Goss Stadium.
Churby was in terrific form on Wednesday, throwing six innings while allowing just two runs on four hits with seven strikeouts but was out-duelled on an outstanding effort from Corvallis starter Connor Redmond and a two-run, two-out single from Chandler Anderson was all the offence needed for the Knights.
The Falcons look to salvage the series in the third and final game of the three-game set against the Corvallis Knights for a 6:30 p.m. first pitch at Goss Stadium.
