Car hits teen, drives away

RCMP in Salmon Arm are looking for a small blue car involved in a hit and run.

Monday morning about 8:00, a 15-year-old boy was struck by the car while crossing in an uncontrolled crosswalk on 20th St SE near Okanagan Ave SE.

"After striking the pedestrian the vehicle departed the area, without regard for the young man, before turning East onto Okanagan Ave SE," stated Sgt. Scott West. "The blue car may have dents in the hood area."

The driver of the blue car has been described as an older white male, with white hair and possibly a white beard.

There may have been an older female in the passenger seat of the vehicle at the time of this incident.

Again police are attempting to locate the vehicle, its driver as well as other witnesses to the event. There was a number of vehicles in and around the intersection.

The boy suffered only minor injuries.
