Nabbed with heroin, meth

A man and woman from Vernon are in trouble with the law in Salmon Arm after being nabbed with hard drugs on them.

Salmon Arm RCMP Staff Sgt. Scott West said that early in the morning on Jan. 24, police stopped the couple after they left a residence known to police in the Tappen area.

“After searching the vehicle, a significant quantity of heroin, cocaine, meth and MDMA was seized along with a large sum of Canadian currency,” said West. “The vehicle is also under police seizure at this time.”

With the evidence gathered during this traffic stop, the Salmon Arm RCMP then executed a search warrant at a residence in the Tappen area where another man and woman who were known to police were arrested.

“During the search of the residence, a substantial amount of what is believed to be heroin and other drugs was seized along with Canadian currency,” said West.

Police are still tallying the amount of drugs that were confiscated.
