Death in Salmon Arm

RCMP continue to assist the BC Coroners Service with its investigation into the death of a 56-year-old Salmon Arm man, however they do not believe foul play was involved.

Cpl. Dan Moskaluk said on Monday July 17, at approximately 2:30 p.m., Salmon Arm RCMP attended a Tappen area residence in regards to a reported death of a 56-year-old male.

“Police attended and found the male deceased inside his residence near Salmon Arm,” said Moskaluk. The RCMP South East District Major Crime Unit and Forensic Identification Unit initially assisted in the initial stages of the investigation.

“Following the preliminary stages of the investigation and a forensic examination of the scene RCMP investigators and the BC Coroners Service have made a determination that the man's death is not considered suspicious at this time,” said Moskaluk.

The name of the man has not been released, nor has the cause of death.
