Two hikers lost in Eagle Bay
Salmon Arm RCMP helped locate a pair of lost hikers in the hills between White Lake and Eagle Bay, Monday.
The female hikers, aged 51 and 54, were able to call emergency services, but did not have a way to locate themselves on their phones.
They managed to make their way to a forest service road, but couldn't get their bearings and had run out of water. Police and a local resident located the pair safely.
RCMP remind hikers to take more water than you think you might need, as well as survival items and a jacket, in case you have to spend the night outdoors.
