Busted for break in

Charges are being recommended against a 38-year-old man in relation to a break in on March 23.

Salmon Arm RCMP responded to a break-in call at a business in the 1000 block of 10th Ave. Southwest.

“A male set off alarms in the store and was later seen on store security cameras when the footage was reviewed,” said Staff Sgt. Scott West.

“The male took items from the store and was located in possession of some of those items when police located him on April 10. As a result of the investigation the male was also found in possession of bank cards and credit cards that were not in his name along with what police believe to be a smoke grenade.”

The man, who is not a resident of Salmon Arm, will be appearing in court in May to answer to a number of charges.
