A head-on crash on the Trans-Canada Highway near Salmon Arm could have been a lot worse.
Shortly after 4 p.m. on July 8, police and ambulance crews responded to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 1 near 65th Avenue NW.
“The police investigation revealed a black Honda four-door car hydroplaned and hit a white F350 head on,” said Staff Sgt. Scott West. “Fortunately, all parties suffered minor injuries and three people – including two children – were taken to hospital as a precaution.”
The driver of the vehicle that hydroplaned was served a violation ticket under the provincial motor vehicle act for speed relative to conditions.
