Hospital workers across the province could soon be on strike.
Mediated talks recently broke down and a spokesperson for the Hospital Employees Union in Kelowna says strike action is a definite possibility.
"Are we ready to strike? Yes," says Katherine Kreller.
"At the moment we are waiting for an order from the Labour Relations Board regarding essential services." The deadline for that order is midnight Wednesday.
The province is demanding $900 million in concessions over three years.
