According to Kelowna MP Werner Schmidt, Canadians could be heading to the polls in June.

"That's what it looks like now. Paul Martin definitely wants it in June," says Schmidt. But there is dissention within the Liberal Party and a lot of them area saying wait until the fall. Our position is that we would like Martin wait until the fall but we're ready now."
